Volunteers are needed to help pull water chestnut weeds at Coes Reservoir! A water chestnut is an aggressive invasive aquatic plant species impacting our lakes and crowding out native species. These plants must be removed before they produce seeds for the year. The southern portion of Coes Reservoir has scattered plants along the shoreline, and removing the plants by hand is an effective technique in this part of the lake.
When: Saturday, June 22, 9:00am – noon (Rain date: July 13)
Where: Coes Reservoir Beach, 200 Mill Street, Worcester, MA
