The City is working on Stormwater System and Green Infrastructure Master Plan which will help the City prioritize citywide drainage infrastructure improvements. You can help by joining the Flood Watch. Volunteers will gather data during and immediately following intense rain events and longer duration rain events to map the flooded areas of the City.

The Lakes and Ponds Program is an initiative of the DSR. Other initiatives include Growing Green Worcester ElectriCITY, Increasing Renewable Energy Production, Buidling Resilience to Floods, Extreme Heat and Winter storms, Electrifying Vehicles, and Expandig Safe Streets for Pedistrians and Cyclists.
