CYANOBACTERIA MONITORING COLLABORATIVE

The Worcester Cyanobacteria Monitoring Collaborative (WCMC) is a group of volunteer community scientists that is working to better understand cyanobacteria in Worcester’s lakes and ponds and the risk they pose to public health. This monitoring is very important for the waterbodies in our watershed. The data we collect is used by our colleagues in the Lakes and Ponds Program to assess risk and determine when treatment is needed.

No training or experience is needed to help in this effort. We need volunteers to help monitor our watershed. An online WCMC Information and Training Session 2023 will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:30 PM. You can sign up for this session here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wcmc-information-and-training-session-2023-tickets-523602377807
