TBWA is pleased to partner with The City of Worcester Public Works & Parks (DPW&P) Lakes and Ponds Program and other local watershed organizations, on the 2021 Angler Event Series Get Hooked on Worcester’s Lake & Ponds.
The 2021 Blue Space Angler Event Series launches Monday, January 25th. Virtual and outdoor, fishing-themed events are planned for the area beginning in February and running through September of 2021. The diverse program includes opportunities for novice to advanced anglers, and are family friendly. Events include Learn-to-Fish and Learn-to-Ice-Fish courses through MassWildlife, as well as seminars which will address how water quality issues, like harmful algal blooms and invasive aquatic weeds can affect fish and fish habitat. In total, thirteen events are planned for the year.
The events are sponsored and hosted by the Lake Quinsigamond, Tatnuck Brook, and Indian Lake Watershed Associations, Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation, and Worcester Department of Public Works & Parks Lakes and Ponds Program. Other collaborators include MassWildlife, Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the Lake Quinsigamond Commission.
